    The CCA HIV/AIDS Initiative, in collaboration with VOXIVA, BroadReach Healthcare, Development Gateway Foundation and Bridges.org, will convene CCA members, our partners and invited guests representing the communications and the digital and information technology industries to discuss the creation of new markets, the expansion of current markets, and innovative applications for existing technologies for healthcare delivery in Africa.

Women in Literature: HIV/AIDS Journaling Workshops

In this awareness writing group project, women of African descent will explore and share experiences of being affected by or infected with HIV.The workshop group, facilitated by a professional writer, will meet every Saturday from 10:00-11:30 am for seven weeks and will be built around a weekly writing assignment and brief “in class” exercises. Each assignment will contribute toward a final, finished work, which will be a story/narrative about whatever aspect the writer wishes to express concerning her HIV/AIDS experience.     World AIDS Day is commemorated around the globe on 1 December. It celebrates progress made in the battle against the epidemic — and brings into focus remaining challenges. World AIDS Day 2004 focuses on women, girls, and HIV and AIDS, the theme for the World AIDS Campaign 2004.
  • HIV/AIDS Charity Golf Tournament

    This event, organized by CCA and hosted by David Frost Wines, brings members of the business community together to raise awareness around HIV/AIDS. The funds raised will be used to match grant funding for the CCA HIV/AIDS Initiative.
  • Elton John Dinner Concert and Smash Hits Tennis Tournament

    This annual dinner concert and Smash Hits TeamTennis tournament is hosted by the Elton John AIDS Foundation, the National AIDS Fund and the Corporate Council on Africa to raise awareness and funds for the fight against HIV/AIDS.

    The HIV/AIDS and Business Forum was organized by two French organizations, CIAN (The French Council of Investors in Africa) and SIDA Entreprise with the collaboration of the Cameroonian Business Council called PCGE (La Plate-forme de Coordination Groupe des Entreprises du Cameroun).

  • Malawi Private Sector Mobilization Sub-regional Forum

    The Malawi Forum is the third in a series of four conferences designed to develop innovative partnerships between the public and private sectors in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The series is jointly sponsored by the World Bank Multi-Country AIDS Program, UNAIDS, the World Economic Forum 's Global Health Initiative and CCA.
  • Ebony Coca-Cola Festival: A Celebration of Africa

    Goree Island, Senegal

    The Ebony Coca-Cola Festival seeks to raise HIV/AIDS awareness and celebrate the hope, spirit and cultures of the African people. This event is sponsored by the Coca-Cola Company and UNAIDS, and will engage African youth in the promotion of HIVAIDS education and awareness in Africa. The proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to an HIV/AIDS orphanage in Senegal. View the Coca-Cola news release from the event.
