| Description: |
The United States Embassy in Mozambique, in association with the United States Foreign Commercial Service and the U.S.-Mozambique Chamber of Commerce will host a conference in Maputo, Mozambique, on July 15 and 16, 2009, to provide opportunities for U.S. investors to strategize on entering Mozambique’s investment-rich market. The President of Mozambique is scheduled to open the conference.
The Investment Promotion Center (CPI) will open a session providing an overview of how to best enter the Mozambican market and utilize its services. A number of break-out sessions are also scheduled in the top four sectors for foreign investment in Mozambique: Agriculture, Energy, Tourism, Mining and Natural Resources (including hydropower, coal, natural gas and renewable energy). Each session will be hosted by the Minister of the sector, moderated by the specialist in the sector, and attended by
U.S. businessmen already working in the area in Mozambique.
The conference will include a networking reception co-hosted by the U.S. Embassy, in which prominent Mozambican businessmen and government officials will have an opportunity to interact with prospective U.S. investors.
On July 16, the U.S. Embassy in Mozambique with its partners will arrange one-on-one meetings for U.S. investors. The cost of participating in the conference will be US$300.
