The Initiative Provides Corporate Members with the Following Types of Assistance:

  • Technical assistance and professional expertise in building customized HIV workplace policies and prevention programs
  • Assistance with the implementation of HIV workplace policies and non-discrimination policies that respect employee confidentiality
  • Prevention, treatment and care information and resources
  • Counseling and treatment services for infected employees
  • Networking opportunities with other businesses in Africa and affected by HIV/AIDS
  • Information on HIV/AIDS best practices, research and policy development

CCA assists members in creating comprehensive business plans, including HIV prevention strategies

The Initiative Also Aims to:

  • Work with each CCA member to develop a comprehensive business plan addressing employee education, HIV prevention strategies and care for employees and their families.
  • Extend workplace programs to local communities in partnership with community based organizations, governments and international agencies.
  • Address behavioral change and reduce stigmatization and discrimination by encouraging CCA members to partner with national HIV/AIDS initiatives and community-based programs providing HIV/AIDS care and treatment services in supportive and culturally sensitive settings.
  • Encourage members to support a full range of education and prevention services including voluntary counseling and testing, peer counseling and training, and where possible, medical coverage and treatment, including access to anti-retro viral therapy.
  • Foster partnerships with organizations such as the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, the World Economic Forum’s Global Health Initiative and other assistance efforts.
