The WAIBL program fosters commercial relationships between American and West African business. The program works to facilitate export/import transactions, joint ventures and strategic alliances between West African and U.S. companies. To date, WAIBL has recorded more than 100 transactions worth over $53 million WAIBL also sponsors sector specific business forums in the U.S.. and West Africa aimed at promoting business exchange. WAIBL has held agriculture, infrastructure and shea butter conference series; upcoming themes include textiles and information technology. WAIBL is a cooperative agreement between the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through USAID's West Africa Regional program (WARP).
