Ms. Georgy Boston is the President and C.E.O. of Futech International, Inc., a design company located in New York, specializing in the needs of the ethno-cultural micro-markets. She is responsible for the overall strategy and direction of Futech and for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Company.
Ms. Boston has been an entrepreneur, owning and operating companies in the apparel, home accessories and giftware industries since 1987. She has extensive experience in all aspects of business, including manufacturing, the operation of retail stores and sales to major national and regional chains. Her first business, which involved the design and production of women’s and children’s sportswear grew from a home-based business into a company with a manufacturing plant employing between 19-40 employee. By the early 90’s, Ms. Boston had begun to specialize in the design, production and sales of products for micro-market consumers. She has remained actively involved in that micro-market niche since that time and has dedicated all of her efforts to the development of Futech and its mission.
Ms. Boston has provided consulting services to art cooperatives and educational facilities in the areas of commercial art and product readiness for the retail marketplace. Major emphasis placed on developing product for sale to major retailers..
Ms. Boston has staged in-store promotions for Futech’s apparel and giftware programs highlighting Native American, Hispanic and African art at Wal-Mart and Kmart
Prior to her business career, Ms Boston taught kindergarten for 19 years in Michigan. She also wrote and developed various games and activity books for her school system
Ms. Boston studied education and psychology and received her B.A. and M.A. from Marygrove College in Michigan.
