Tony Nunes is a partner of King & Spalding L.L.P. resident in Houston and is a member of their Global Transactions & Projects Practice Group. His current practice includes international projects, project finance and corporate and maritime transactions with emphasis on LNG and other energy-related matters. He is currently working as project counsel in connection with the Angola LNG project, is an advisor to the Jamaican government in connection with a proposed LNG import and regassification facility and is counsel on a proposed United States import and regassification terminal.
Mr. Nunes serves as an arbitrator of commercial disputes for the American Arbitration Association and was an adjunct professor of law at the University of Houston teaching International Financial Transactions and International Litigation and Arbitration between 1986 and 1999.
He is qualified to practice law (as a solicitor) in England, Jamaica (where he was born) and Texas. Mr. Nunes graduated with honors from St. Georges College in Kingston, Jamaica, studied law in Jamaica and at the College of Law in Lancaster Gate, London, England, graduated cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center and was admitted to the Texas bar in 1979.
