Profile
As Senior Securities Manager for Portfolio Management, Jennifer Serrato is responsible in leading a project dedicated to re-engineering Portfolio Management’s Core Infrastructure supporting securitization, structured products, capital market valuations, and risk management. Ms. Serrato has 15+ years capital markets experience, working in both the primary and secondary market sectors.

Prior to her current assignment, Ms. Serrato represented Fannie Mae in international business development for 3 years--managing consulting services to foreign governments, financial institutions, international organizations, and private-sector clients. During her tenure, she provided assistance around the globe in the creation, development and enhancement of housing finance systems.

Prior to joining the international division, Ms. Serrato was a Senior Manager in Portfolio Management for 9 years. In that role, she worked in a division responsible for managing interest rate risk and return on equity for a retained portfolio in excess of $750 billion. She was responsible for the management, analysis, and reporting of asset and liability methodologies and transactions. Additionally, she managed MIS technology for the division and developed business strategies to support capital market operations for Fannie Mae’s portfolio.

Before joining Fannie Mae, Ms. Serrato served in an officer position within the primary banking sector responsible for managing secondary marketing, investor relations, and supervision of operations.

Ms. Serrato holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from the American University in Washington, DC and a Masters of Business Administration and Finance from Johns Hopkins University.
