Warsun Announces Opening of its Lagos Office
VIENNA, VA March 1, 2001 -- Warsun International Communications, a provider of satellite Internet and Telephony gateway services primarily focused on emerging markets Internet and telecommunications industries, announced the opening of its Lagos Office. The Warsun-Lagos facility establishes Warsun's first IP Infrastructure gateway in Nigeria.
The Lagos Gateway will be the initial part of a nationwide IP infrastructure backbone that Warsun plans on building in Nigeria and in other countries in Africa. Warsun's IP backbone in Africa takes into account the convergence of data, voice and wireless technologies and is designed to provide next generation communications technologies to its ISP and enterprise customers in Africa and in other emerging-market countries. "Building these IP backbones will enable us to provide low-cost, value added solutions and business applications that match the specific needs of our customer base," said James Miller, Warsun Chief Operating Officer.
Headquartered in Vienna, VA, Warsun provides satellite Internet Access to the US and European Internet backbone, International voice gateway service and Demand based point-to-point and point-to-multi-point telephony and Internet service for thin traffic routes, rural villages and companies operating in remote locations in emerging-market countries.
