Export Finance Seminar : Promoting U.S. - Africa Trade

May 15 and 16, 2001
The West Africa International Business Linkages (WAIBL) program of the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA), the US Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im), and US Foreign Commercial Service (FCS) will hold an export finance seminar on May 15-16, 2001 in Dakar, Senegal. CCA is organizing the US private sector component of the seminar.
The first-day of the seminar will focus on the US Government-supported programs designed to facilitate trade between the US and Africa. Representatives from US commercial banks, Ex-IM, FCS, and the US Trade and Development Agency will participate. The second-day will focus on the US private sector. American companies will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with African companies and identify potential business partners and importers of U.S.-made products.

Participation in the seminar is free for representatives of US companies. Participants are required to make their own travel and lodging arrangements. US citizens do not need visas for travel to Senegal.
