South Africa: A Country Profile for U.S. Businesses
 |
One of the world's pivotal emerging market economies, South Africa has Africa's most developed economy. Produced in conjuction with the South African International Business Linkages program and targeted specifically towards American companies, South Africa: A Country Profile for U.S Businesses includes background on the country's macroeconomic performance, investment climate, and relevant trade and investment information. Published in September 2000, the 65-page guide outlines South Africa's principal economic sectors and the areas where the greatest commercial opportunities exist for American private sector involvement. The guide profiles the country's efforts to privatize its state-run industries, and summarizes project development and finance opportunities available to American companies. The guide also contains in-depth appendices with relevant South African contact information and statistical data, and a directory of the country's Black Economic Empowerment Groups.
