Cohen and Woods International, Inc. to represent the Government of the Republic of Angola

ARLINGTON, VA April 30, 2001 -- Cohen and Woods International, Inc. (CWI) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a one-year representational contract by the Government of the Republic of Angola. The contract period began on 4 April 2001.

CWI will provide representational services supporting the Government of Angola in its relations with the U.S. Government and private sector on matters concerning peace and stability, foreign debt, joint ventures, foreign investment and development support.

In addition to lobbying and representational activities, CWI is called upon to provide advice and assistance directly to the Government of Angola encompassing the full range of political, diplomatic, security and economic issues. CWI will also assist the Embassy of Angola in Washington, to include visits by Angolan personalities.

Ambassador Herman J. Cohen and Mr. James L. Woods founded Cohen and Woods International, Inc. in 1994. The company has provided strategic advice and representational services to ten African governments, assisted U.S. industry with operations in Africa, and provided advice and services to several Departments of the U.S. government. This is the second time CWI has had the honor of working with the Government of the Republic of Angola to assist with representation in the United States. CWI previously performed in this capacity from January 1995 through March 1999.
