ABB places $2.7 million order for Ohanet project in Algeria

THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS April, 2001 -- Honeywell has received a $2.7 million (US) order for the Ohanet project in Algeria from ABB Lummus Global in The Hague, Netherlands. ABB Lummus Global and Petrofac are the E&C for the Ohanet project in Algeria.

The new gas plant being built for BHP, Petrofac and Sonatrach will be equipped with the Honeywell TPS system for the control of the process and with SMS Fail Safe Controllers for Emergency Shut Down (ESD) and Fire and Gas (F&G).

The project scope consists of the delivery of hardware and project services, including site activities. This project award shown Honeywell active presence in the southern part of Algeria and trust in Honeywell capabilities for Technologies and Services in an open market. The systems are scheduled to be shipped in the first quarter 2002.
