CAPACITY BUILDING, EDUCATION AND TRAINING
The Corporate Council on Africa’s Capacity Building Program draws on the experience of U.S. educational and technical training institutions to help CCA members develop the capacities of their staffs and that of their African partners. This approach helps to create a win-win investment climate by offering business advantages to U.S. investors while providing opportunities for economic and social improvement within African communities.
The Capacity Building Program also works to enhance U.S. business competitiveness in the midst of intensifying competition in Africa. The willingness of many U.S. companies to actively build the capacity of their African employees and partners is seen favorably by many African governments, opening new doors for U.S. investment.
The program’s Working Group helps to guide members through this process in order to further enhance their investment and profitability. The Capacity Building Working Group meets monthly, allowing members to share lessons learned and to form partnerships for improving their own capacity building effort.
