Who joins CCA?

The membership of the Corporate Council on Africa includes over 150 U.S. businesses with interests in Africa. Some of our members are very large - multi-national petroleum companies, airline manufacturers, auto and equipment manufacturers. Some of our members are very small - individual investors or consultants. There are corporations that have been working in Africa for decades, and also corporations that won their first African contracts recently. Size, sector, experience - our membership varies, but is joined by a commitment to developing and deepening our business ties with Africa.

What does CCA membership offer?

CCA members meet visiting African dignitaries, including most heads of state, at our receptions and dinners. Our working groups and other fora allow our members to keep in touch with the Washington African affairs community. Members may call upon CCA staff for specific research requests, or refer to previously prepared investors' guidebooks. There are a number of services, small and large, available to our membership. Perhaps the most important element of CCA membership is less tangible, however. You join a rather small and focused group which includes other members doing business in every sector in every country on the continent. You build networks with other business people, with African leaders in the public and private sector, with the Washington offices that are involved in Africa policy.

For further information on CCA membership, please contact or at the Corporate Council on Africa, 202-835-1115; fax 202-835-1117
