Nigeria Working Group
The Nigeria Working Group, chaired by former U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria Princeton Lyman, has embarked on a robust effort to take advantage of the economic and monetary reforms implemented by President Obasanjo. Targeting corporate interests in key sectors of the Nigerian economy, the Working Group seeks to create a valuable forum for the exchange of ideas and for the establishment of a common agenda for the Council and its Nigerian private sector counterparts.
The Nigeria Working Group frequently meets with high level American and Nigerian Government officials to discuss relevant policy issues, and hosted both President Obasanjo and Vice President Abubakar for dinners with the American business community. The Working Group also hosted a private meeting and luncheon with Nigerian Ambassador to the United States, Jibril Aminu.
