In July 2000, CCA led a Trade and Outreach Mission sponsored by HSBC Equator Bank to Nigeria. Sectors of focus included telecommunications, transportation, agribusiness, and banking.

- One-on-one meetings with State Commissioners and Lagos State Governor
- Roundtable discussion with Nigerian Economic Summit Group
- Reception hosted by The Honorable William Twaddell, US Ambassador to Nigeria
Tuesday, July 18 (Lagos-Abuja):
- Breakfast with Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce
- Depart for Abuja
- Meeting with Chief Economist, Advisor to President Obasanjo
- Meeting with Kano Chamber of Commerce and Kaduna Chapter of the Nigerian American Chamber of Commerce
Wednesday, July 19 (Abuja):
- Roundtable discussion with Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission
